  I want to express my grievance about the reception staff employed at the surgery. Not all the staff are bad but I feel that a couple of them could do with some training on how to deal with patients over the telephone, they could do with training with being more sympathetic, caring and show a little understanding. My partner and I have experienced this lack of empathy when he rang to make an appointment to see dr do well after describing his symptoms to one of the receptionist who showed no compassion and gave him an appointment for a months time. A little bit of understanding and perhaps discretion to help would have been nice. My partner is not one for making a fuss and accepted the appointment even though he was under a lot of discomfort and pain. He particularly wanted to see dr do well as he felt he understood his symptoms. In th interim he has had a heart attack. So what he thought were symptoms for acute heart burn and wanted to discuss this further with dr dowell was in fact nothing to do with his heart burn. We have on a couple of occasions tried to call the surgery on a Wednesday as your web site state you have opening hours to realise that you are closed on Wednesdays. It is hardly surprising that our A&E is bulging at the seams when you cant get to see a doctor. We feel let down and felt it necessary to let you know. Kashlia Rahal 16.5.58 07791034332
